Edge chipping following the peripheral grinding of cermet inserts is a major pain point in the industry.
To address this issue, we conducted extensive testing and successfully resolved the problem.
The machining process is as follows:

Insert model: Meisherui TNGG160402R-F(M)MC1020
Cooling: Oil cooling; oil temperature set to 25°C
Grinding process: Spindle speed: 1000 rpm;
Infeed speed (depth of cut): 1.4 mm/min; lateral oscillation speed: 800 mm/min;
Corner radius (R-angle) machining speed: 340 mm/min; lateral oscillation speed during R-angle machining: 140 mm/min
Dressing wheel specifications: B 150X32X60T WA280#
Dressing wheel speed: Edge grinding: 0.002 mm/min; R-angle grinding: 0.001 mm/min;
Processing efficiency: 137 seconds/piece (including 10 seconds for robotic workpiece change);
Grinding wheel life: Approx. 10,000 cermet inserts of this model per wheel;
