American Innovative Products has released a 3-in-1 diamond grinding wheel. Available in 2″ and 3″ diameter wheels designed for high speed straight grinders. The discs have diamond abrasive edges that last 20-60 times longer than conventional abrasives. In addition to maintaining size and shape, diamond wheels cut quickly and produce little sparks and odors, according to the company. The 3D coating allows back cutting, grooving and rolling in hard to reach areas.
By incorporating advanced, highly efficient milling techniques into the machining program, SolidCAM iMachining technology can significantly reduce cycle times and significantly increase tool life compared to conventional milling.
One potential source of serious injury when grinding is a simple oversight: running around at speed.
