Different coating materials and applications of circular saw blades

A. Coating material:

Ti (titanium): 100% titanium;

Al (aluminum): 100% aluminum;

Ti/Al (titanium/aluminum): 33% titanium and 66% aluminum;

Cr (chromium): 100% chromium;

C (carbon): 100% carbon;

N (nitrogen): nitrogen;

B. Application of various coatings on circular saw blades:

1. TiN (titanium) coating is used in: high-speed steel-sawed steel and TCT-sawed steel.

2. TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) coating is used in: high-speed steel-sawed steel and TCT-sawed steel (structural steel, alloy + stainless steel).

3. CrN (chromium nitride) coating is used in: high-speed steel – sawing non-ferrous metals (TCT is not used).

4. TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating is used in: high speed steel – sawed steel (structural steel, alloy + stainless steel), TCT – not used.

5. POWER 2000 coating is used in: high speed steel – sawing steel (structural steel, alloy + stainless steel), TCT – not used.

6. Soft coating is used in: high-speed steel – as a lubricant or the penetrating coating mentioned above, TCT – as a lubricant or the penetrating coating mentioned above.

7. Ion nitrogen coating is used in: HSS-to improve the hardness of the surface and prevent the eggshell effect. TCT-is not used.

When selecting a coating, it is mainly based on the equipment used, the material being sawed, etc., and combined with the actual usage, the best effect of the circular saw blade coating can be achieved.
