Rush Machinery presents a range of equipment at IMTS

Rush Machinery will showcase a range of equipment at the 2022 International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS), including wheel trimmers, CNC and semi-automatic carbide bar cutting machines, and CNC chamfering machines.
The machines can be seen at Rush Machinery booth #237233 during the show at McCormick Place in Chicago from September 12-17.
Wheel trimmer FC-350W Wheel trimmer with additional protective covers. The FC-350W machine is designed for simple and efficient dressing of flat surfaces, corners and radii of single and multi-disc sets with diamond and elbor burs. The FC-350W allows the user to cut the diameter, profile and sides of a wheel without dismantling the wheel set. The optional protective cover has four clear acrylic swivel sections for easy access. Rush service engineers can upgrade upon request.
The machine also comes with RushVision software designed to simplify and customize cropping and trimming. RushVision delivers high-tolerance precision work and cutting complex shapes and radii up to 2″ (50mm). The software includes drawing templates for the most common wheel shapes and allows users to import them from CAD via USB or a networked PC.
CNC carbide bar cutters with “auto cut” can double the productivity when cutting carbide and hardened steel bars compared to hand torches. It is equipped with an easy to use CNC control and a touch operator interface.
The bar diameter and length parameters can be quickly set. The machine automatically loads and cuts bars from a large capacity tool magazine. “Auto Cut” has capacity from 0.055″ (1.4mm) to 1-9/16″ (40mm) for carbide rods up to 16″ in diameter and comes standard with an overflow cooling system.
CNC Chamfering Machine The CNC chamfering machine is specially designed for chamfering carbide and high speed steel cutting tools. The machine is equipped with user friendly HMI programming for easy setup and easy to use CNC control with touch screen operator interface. The machine is equipped with a magazine loader and can operate unattended for extended periods of time, freeing the operator for other tasks.
The compact chamferer automatically loads rods from 1/8″ to 1″ in diameter and 1-1/2″ to 7″ in length. Capable of manual loading up to 1-1/4″ in diameter and 10-1/4″ in length.
The Easy-Cut semi-automatic carbide rod cutter is designed to quickly and easily cut carbide rods and tool tips from 1/8″ to 1 ¼” in diameter.
Made in the USA, the Rush Easy-Cut is fully enclosed and available in semi-auto or manual. Semi-automatic models are equipped with PLC, pneumatic clamping, hydraulic feed and LCD display readings. This also applies to high speed steel, the company said.
Microprocessor controllers are designed for machines that allow you to create or modify parts. Programmable digital control activates machine servos and spindle drives and controls various machining operations. See DNC, direct numerical control; NC, numerical control.
Reduce the rise in fluid temperature at the tool/workpiece interface during machining. Usually in liquid form such as soluble or chemical mixtures (semi-synthetic, synthetic), but can also be compressed air or other gases. Due to its ability to absorb a large amount of heat, water is widely used as a refrigerant and carrier for various cutting lubricants, and the ratio of water to mixture depends on the processing task. See cutting fluid; semi-synthetic cutting fluid; oil-soluble cutting fluid; synthetic cutting fluid.
Boron nitride crystal under high pressure and high temperature. For cutting difficult-to-cut ferrous and nickel-based materials up to 70 HRC. The second hardest material after diamond. See Super Abrasive Tools.
Use a single or multi-faceted diamond or other tool to remove unwanted material from a “loaded” wheel. This process also exposes unused sharp grinding heads. See download; Fixation.
There are two main types: tungsten high speed steel (denoted by the letter T, with tungsten as the main alloying element) and molybdenum high speed steel (denoted by the letter M, with molybdenum as the main alloying element). Cobalt-containing T-type HSS provides higher wear resistance and higher red (hot) hardness and can withstand cutting temperatures up to 1100º F (590º C). Tee steel is used in the manufacture of metal-cutting tools (milling cutters, drills, reamers and taps), woodworking tools, punches and dies of various types, ball and roller bearings. M-section steel is used for cutting tools and various types of molds.
The minimum and maximum quantities allowed by the dimensions of the workpiece differ from the established standard and remain acceptable.
Use a diamond or other dressing tool to ensure the grinding wheel is round and concentric and does not vibrate at the correct speed. Weights are also used to balance the wheels. Also used for contouring the surface of the wheel. See dressing.
